Queen Alexandra Foundation for Children - Bear Wear
2005
Story by Sylvia and Pierino Chicorelli
The Queen Alexandra Foundation is a registered charity (#89863
8291 RR0001) governed by a
volunteer Board of Directors. With historic roots originating nearly
80 years ago, the Foundation continues to provide financial
assistance for programs, equipment and services that support the
health and well-being of Vancouver Island's children, youth and
families.
Bear Wear is the annual fundraiser for the Queen Alexandra
Foundation for Children. Under the auspices of their founding
sponsor, the Hotel Grand Pacific, each year individuals and
companies sponsor and dress a bare bear. Proceeds from Bear Wear
2005 will help the Queen Alexandra Foundation purchase an Audioscan
Hearing Aid Analyzer to evaluate children's hearing aids.
The bears are on display from December 3 - 19, 2005 at the Hotel Grand Pacific. To view or make a bid visit their web site: queenalexandra.org

at Tinos Restaurant, on Vernon Avenue. After breakfast they are
going on a two and a half hour guided kayaking trip for two in
Victoria’s Inner Harbour with

a kayak, anddemonstrate paddling stokes; then they are off to look
at boats, ships, float planes and sea life in the harbour. After a
